MINI Waiting Spots

Public space, Branding

Every year Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven visitors are transported in between venues by the MINI Design rides. For DDW 2012 our observation was that the MINI cars drive around the city but there was no clear definition of stops where people could wait.
We therefore proposed to the brand MINI the creation of the MINI waiting spots. The idea was to use the brand logo to draw car tracks coming to a spot of paint to signal the waiting place where people could sit on cubes. The goal was to integrate the brand in a subtle way, make the spot visually clear and minimize the use of materials due to it’s temporary character.

This project was made in collaboration with Jose Subero and Isabella Bolloz.
